The Palladium

POW! WOW! RETURNS
TO THE PALLADIUM AT 261 MAIN STREET TO PAINT A COMMERCIAL STREET FACING WALL.

From feature films like the 1929 This Thing Called Love to Cab Calloway and the Cotton Club Orchestra in 1941 to the Jerry Garcia Band in 1982 and Prince in 2000, the Palladium has been a mainstay of Worcester’s cultural life drawing diverse audiences to an eclectic range of tastes. Over the years, the theatre has sported many names from the Plymouth went it opened to the E.M. Loew’s Center for the Performing Arts to the Palladium, as management troubles and the shifting fortunes of North Main Street businesses in the 1970s and 1980s depressed ticket sales. Now the recently renovated interior, hosts heavy metal concerts, rap shows and fights, drawing crowds from across the region and reestablishing North Main as a cultural destination.
